hi, I’m Andrea

I recently joined Tatler Asia as Editor of Tatler Homes Hong Kong magazine, relaunching its print edition in 2022. In my role, I cover real estate, architecture and interior design and of course, offer glimpses into luxury homes in Hong Kong and around the world.

Prior to joining Tatler, I worked as a freelance journalist and translator. I have nine years of experience in English-language print and digital media in Hong Kong and Macau. I spent some time during the pandemic working remotely from Barbados, and am now back in Hong Kong.

I have covered everything from dining and travel to pop culture and identity to business and technology. I specialise in interviews, articles and projects that require Cantonese-speaking skills.

After spending 10 years at boarding school and university in England, I moved back to Hong Kong, where I grew up and consider home, in 2012. Between 2012 and 2015, I was a staff writer at now-defunct HK Magazine and The List, two of Hong Kong’s best-loved English-language lifestyle publications. I began freelancing in 2015, and was a freelance features producer at CNN International’s Hong Kong bureau from 2016 to 2019. Over the years, I’ve been an opinion columnist for The Loop, Asia Times and Liv Magazine.
